- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★Had my taxes prepared today at the Sebastian H & R Block. They made a "not so fun" experience, a joy. The staff is so friendly and the office is very organized and clean. - ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆Never again. $347 charge to file Federal and Illinois(1040 NR). No tax liability on federal as insufficient income. They prepared Illinois NR return three times before it was correct and of course that involved filing an amended return to Illinois. The first return had $69 due, the second had $58 due and the final and correctly prepared amended return had $11 due. This was for my sister-in-law. I was the one who discovered their mistakes. Their only comment was a coupon for 20% off next years preparation. They said no matter our mistake 'you still had to pay us to prepare the return.By bill harold, June 03, 2017
- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆Was very disappointed. Went in for the free tax prep since we can't afford very much and wasn't told until after the fact that we were going to be charged 300$ because we have dependents. If they would have told us upfront that there would be fees it would have been different. I am in the automotive industry and we are always upfront with fees, so that there aren't any surprises. 300 dollars for 15 minute worth of work??? I guess I'm in the wrong business. I guess I'll go back to doing it myself for now on. I do not recommend this place.By A Google User, December 26, 2016
